Nichole Franks

 

Nichole Franks is the Director of Equity and Inclusion and a Teacher at Alcuin School in
Dallas, TX. In her role as Director of Equity an Inclusion, Nichole oversees the Equity
and Inclusion department, three diversity committees (Adults, Middle School, and High
School); conducts diversity training for students, faculty/staff and parents; supports
offsite professional development for faculty/staff and parents; and is a resource for the
community for inclusion and diversity concerns. Nichole used the National Association
of Independent School’s assessment tool to assist her in conducting research, creating
surveys, and facilitating focus groups to help her learn the diversity and inclusion needs
and challenges within Alcuin.
Nichole has a B. A. degree in Speech Communication from Sam Houston State
University and M.S. in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University.
Nichole has been training and speaking for 16 years and continues to work with schools
and businesses in the DFW area. She has presented at non-profits, schools and
workshops, including the Inclusion Summit in Atlanta.
Nichole is a licensed minister that considers talking with people in the community and
meet them where they are: Walmart, gas stations, street, etc. She has been married to
Chad Franks for 22 years and counting. They have three wonderfully designed adult
children.
Nichole is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Past volunteer
work has including collecting food, involvement with Meals On Wheels and served over
10 years as a volunteer for Garland Area Model Mission, which supports local families
and Buckner International – Adoption and Maternal Services.
