Homework Heroes

Homework Heroes is a virtual event scheduled upon request by schools and other youth organizations.  The event can accommodate up to 50 students per one hour session.  The end of a six weeks period when students are working hard to finish incomplete and missing assignments before report cards are sent home, is a great time to schedule a Homework Heroes event.  

 

Each student meets one-on-one for 60 minutes with a community volunteer who assists them in working on homework assignments.  Homework Heroes are not tutors or teachers, and do not typically teach or explain academic concepts to students. They provide support and accountability as the student works through homework, much like a parent or older sibling would.
