ARD Advocacy

At an ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal), teachers, administrators, and other staff members meet to determine the eligibility of a student for the Special Education Program because of a special need or a learning disability.  Our ARD Advocates are professionals who support the family and provide guidance throughout the ARD process.  They work with the family to identify academic and/or behavioral goals for their student and special education services and accommodations that can be provided by the school to help meet those goals.  ARD Advocates are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice.  ARD Advocacy is provided free to families that qualify for Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, or McKinney-Vento.  We will also accept the current year's tax return. Please refer to the following website for income eligibility https://www.benefits.gov/benefit/1640
