Brainiacs! It's been a while since I've updated you and so much has happened. Noggin is growing by leaps and bounds. I forgot to mention in the video that our tutoring and ARD Advocacy programs have doubled since this time last year. We have 50+ students in the program. Watch the video below for more. This summer we will be IN PERSON instead of online supporting the students at First Presbyterian Church in Downtown Dallas for a 4th year. Can't wait to see them in 3-dimensions! Hi Brainiacs! We have exciting news. We are thrilled to announce five new members of our Board of Directors. As you know, the mission of Noggin Educational Foundation is to help close the Achievement Gap for economically disadvantaged children by providing educational opportunity for students, supporting parents, and encouraging excellence and innovation in the classroom. We have invited these leaders to provide much needed support in their areas of expertise to help our organization grow to the next level so we can impact many many more students. Noggin is participating in #NTxGivingday again this year! We use the money raised to help fund our free tutoring and special education advocacy programs. Help us reach our goal of $20,000! We are closing the Achievement Gap because every child deserves a shot at a bright future! North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour giving event hosted by the Communities Foundation of Texas, benefitting North Texas nonprofits. Donations can be submitted until 11:59 pm on September 23rd. Hi Brainiacs! First of all, thank you for your constant support of Noggin Educational Foundation. Because of your faithful giving this summer, we were free to focus on making an impact on the students we serve. Our summer was very successful! We completed another virtual S.P.A.R.K, serving the students at First Presbyterian Church in Downtown Dallas. Each student received 8 hours of math and reading enrichment, 4 hours of career exploration, and at the conclusion of the program at least 3 books, a children's Bible, and a backpack. Through our social media challenge The #BoughtABackpack Challenge, we collected 500 backpacks! The backpacks were distributed to two Title I schools in Mansfield, TX, a Back To School event at a local barber college, and a Fort Worth church. So, what else is new? Press play!
