Noggin students benefit from a comprehensive approach designed to close gaps in learning and increase college and career readiness. Our goal is to provide longerm suport to students as they navigate their academic journey. This support is designed to equip them for a variety of opportunities after graduation that meet their aspirations. We currently serve families in Southwestern Dallas including Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Desoto, Red Oak, Grand Praire, Arlington, and Mansfield. We are seeking small business sponsors for S.P.A.R.K., our summer program for economically disadvantaged children. Why Help?: Summer Learning Loss Studies show that low-income students lose more than two months in reading achievement over the summer while middle-income students maintain or gain due to access to summer programs and other enrichment opportunities. 1 Losses accumulate over years eventually resulting in students that perform below their grade level. By 5th grade, many low-income students are the equivalent of two to three grades behind . Much of this achievement gap can be attributed to summer learning loss. 2 1. There are significant achievement gaps between low and high-income students on most measures of academic success. S.P.A.R.K is a free 6-week program providing math and reading enrichment activities with the goal of reducing or preventing summer learning loss. S.P.A.R.K is staffed by dedicated, experienced classroom teachers. We partner with organizations that offer summer programs targeting economically disadvantaged youth. The schools attended by the children we will serve are Title I schools with at least 80% of their children considered economically disadvantaged. Gilbert Guzman - Board of Directors Our Board Dr. Gilbert Guzman Dr. Gilbert Guzman brings over a decade of leadership experience spanning recruiting, business strategy & operations, and education. He currently serves as Director of Recruiting for Allied Universal, the world’s leading security and facility services provider, where he leads large-scale recruitment efforts across regional markets. Doneda Bailey - Board of Directors Our Board Doneda Bailey Doneda Bailey is Founder and CEO of Noggin Educational Foundation. After receiving a BA in Radio-Television from the University of Houston, Doneda began her career in account management at a Dallas marketing agency. She eventually ventured out on her own to develop a commercial video production company. After 12 years in marketing, she co-founded Noggin Educational Coaching with her husband, David Bailey, providing out-of-school educational services to students. Inspired by the great need she saw for students from low-income families to receive similar services, she founded Noggin Educational Foundation in 2015. Doneda lives in the Dallas Fort-Worth area with her husband, David and children DJ, Jonathan, and Christina. In her spare time she enjoys working out, singing on the praise team at her church, and watching documentaries. BACK

Board of Directors member Phil Jackson Our Board Phil Jackson Phil Jackson is a dedicated advocate for education with extensive experience in Internal Audit, consulting, service industries, and small business ownership. He holds an MBA and a B.S. in Information Systems from Tarleton State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Currently, Phil serves as the Head of Internal Audit at Flexjet LLC in Dallas, TX. Prior to his role at Flexjet, he held leadership positions at Southwest Airlines, Orthofix Medical, KPMG, and other large and small organizations. His experience spans a diverse range of industries, providing him with a deep understanding of business operations, governance, and financial oversight. Phil's personal journey has instilled in him a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education. Growing up in early childhood without adequate educational resources, he understands firsthand the challenges faced by underprivileged children. His twin boys have also inspired him to ensure children have access to the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. As the Corporate Partnership Board Member, Phil will leverage his extensive network and business acumen to cultivate strategic partnerships that support Noggin Educational Foundation's mission.
